Richard Herbert, D.O., F.A.C.O.I.
Dr. Herbert is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Pulmonary &
Critical Care Associates, P.C. He graduated from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his
Pulmonary and Critical Care training at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. After completing his fellowship,
he was charged with the responsibility of opening the Critical Care Unit at William Beaumont Hospital,
He also served in various capacities at Beaumont Hospital, Troy, including Chief of Medicine, Chief of Pulmonary
Medicine, Medical Director of Respiratory Care, Medical Director of the Critical Care Unit, and served as Senior
Vice President and Medical Director of the hospital for 13 years. He is a member of the American College of
Physician Executives, Michigan State Medical Society, and the American College of Osteopathic Internists. In
addition, he is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic
