Established in 1984, Pulmonary & Critical Care Associates, takes great pride in delivering the highest quality of care to our pulmonary, sleep, and critical care patients in southeast Michigan, whether it be in the inpatient or outpatient setting. All providers are engaged in the education of resident physicians and medical students from medical schools within and outside the state of Michigan and are leaders in their respective hospitals.

Our providers offer pulmonary and sleep-focused care designed to support patients dealing with respiratory conditions, sleep apnea, chronic pulmonary concerns, and related health conditions.
 Services include pulmonary evaluations, sleep testing coordination, sleep apnea treatment support, and outpatient respiratory care.

Dr. Jansi Willoughby is my hero... that's not an exaggeration. I was not lazy, I had Narcolepsy and Cataplexy! This woman got me onto a medication that gave me my life back... what's even more impressive is that my insurance tries to deny paying for it, every new year, and Jansi and Kelly (the care coordinator) fight for me. They go to bat against my insurance and it always gets covered. I'm so grateful.

I have energy again, I can sleep at night, I feel rested, life is so much better. All this time I thought what I was feeling was normal, but now I know how wrong I was. Seriously, if you're constantly tired, go see Dr. Willoughby. She's kind, understanding, helpful, and really cares. I've been seeing her since 2021 and I won't switch to a Medicare plan unless she's covered, that's how much I appreciate and trust her.

I was nervous coming to this office because of the negative reviews! I didn't like the wait however Dr. Starico and his staff were so nice! He explained in detail all of the symptoms, and the testing that's been done! I found my pulmonologist!!!

The staff has always been very pleasant and attentive of my needs, setting up appointments and getting refills. Dr Hughes takes time to talk with you and makes sure he understands what your needs are and does his best to fix your pulmonary problem. I am so thankful for Dr Hughes.
